LA COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH COURT TO GET NEW DEDICATED, PERMANENT LOCATION
The Superior Court of LA County has officially designated a new permanent location for county mental health court operations in Hollywood. This according to Connie Drexler, the Deputy Director of the Office of the Public Guardian at DMH
,in an update shared with NAMI LA County and other interested organizations.
Due to structural damage to the old location, LA County Mental Health Court has been in temporary quarters since November 3, 2016. Current mental health court operations are housed at the Metropolitan Courthouse, 1945 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 9007. Mental Health Departments 95, 95A, and 95B can now be found in Metro Departments 69, 70 and 64 respectively.
The new permanent Mental Health Court will be housed at the Hollywood Courthouse Building, 5925 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028. This will be a dedicated Mental Health Court location with no other court services on site. Pending minor renovations and security upgrades, the Hollywood location should open by late spring or early summer 2017. – reported by John Hallowitz for NAMIGlendale
